Previously, there were seven standards, but now, TSC has streamlined this to just five standards on its online appraisal portal. This move aims to simplify the appraisal process, making it more manageable for educators.
Furthermore, the TPAD tools have been customized to better suit teachers serving in various educational institutions, including primary, secondary, special needs, and post-secondary schools.
While the teaching standards remain consistent for all categories of teachers, the performance indicators and verifiable evidence have been tailored to each type of institution. This customization ensures that the appraisal process is relevant and effective for teachers across the board.
