Furthermore, the Head of State and Mama Rachel emphasized their prayers for the candidates, asking for God’s blessings to be upon them throughout the examination period. They wished for the candidates to triumph and prosper in all their endeavors.
The KCPE and KPSEA exams, which began on Monday, October 30, are set to conclude on Wednesday, November 1. A total of 1,282,574 candidates are expected to sit the KPSEA assessments.
It’s important to note that the KPSEA assessments are primarily designed to monitor learner achievement and not for the placement of candidates.
Unlike the KCPE exams, where candidates are rated out of 100 percent, the KPSEA assessments contribute 40 percent to the final score, with the remaining 60 percent coming from classroom-based continuous assessment tests conducted in Grades 4, 5, and 6.
These assessments also cover Creative and Social Sciences (C.A.S.S), including subjects like Arts and Crafts, Music, Social Studies, and Religious Education.
