TSC Employment Forms(Politician).Kenya Union Of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) National Chairman and Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba have voiced their concerns about politicians’ influence on the recruitment process at the Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC). They claim that politicians are using their connections to secure jobs for their allies, and this has raised questions about the fairness of the TSC’s teacher hiring process.
Milemba expressed his concerns during a speech in Vihiga, emphasizing that the current situation is depriving qualified teachers of opportunities. He pledged to address this issue in the National Assembly to prevent politicians from meddling in TSC’s operations.

The issue at hand is the perceived takeover of TSC job vacancies by politicians. Milemba and others worry that this could lead to an unjust teacher recruitment process, potentially limiting opportunities for aspiring educators and disadvantaging children in the long run.
Milemba urged TSC to maintain professionalism by distributing job openings equitably across the country. He emphasized the importance of conducting teacher recruitment impartially to ensure that all qualified teachers have an equal chance at job opportunities.

Additionally, Milemba called for TSC to consider teachers who completed their training a long time ago during the recruitment process, emphasizing merit-based selection.

Senator Godfrey Osotsi of Vihiga echoed these concerns and accused politicians of using various government positions, including teacher recruitment, to reward their supporters. Osotsi has already requested information about the hiring of personnel at TSC, KRA, and KDF to assess whether there is a fair regional balance in these positions.
This situation highlights the ongoing issue of political influence affecting job opportunities in Kenya and emphasizes the importance of maintaining fairness and transparency in the hiring process, particularly when it comes to education and the future of the nation’s children.
