TSC recruitment portal 2024.This shift signals a significant departure from the current scenario, where a PTE certificate is considered sufficient for teaching in primary schools. The TSC has articulated its intent to exclusively recruit teachers with DPTE, thereby establishing it as the new minimum entry grade for employment in primary schools.

At present, the TSC oversees a workforce of 46,000 teachers employed on internship terms. Plans are underway to confirm the status of these teachers on a permanent basis by 2025.
